Biggest Asset Bubbles in our history

Some of the biggest asset bubbles seen  in our history. It was something interesting that I read today.

An asset bubble occurs when the price of a financial asset or commodity rises to levels well above historical norms, above its actual value, or both.

  1. Crypto Bubble: 2021
  2. US Housing Bubble: 2000s resulting in the 2008 financial crisis
  3. Dot-com Bubble: late 1990s & early 2000s
  4. Japan’s Real Estate and Stock Market Bubble: 1980s
  5. South Sea Bubble: 18th century, Great Britain
  6. Dutch Tulip Bubble: 17th Century, Netherlands #tulipmania

Key Take-away: Asset allocation and regular rebalancing of your investments are very important. Don’t put all your eggs in the same basket
