NVIDIA Corp stock has risen by a whopping 190% since Jan 2023 and entered the elite trillion-dollar market cap club of Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon
Well, I feel the same too but not exactly because I invest in a Nasdaq100 Index ETF via my PEA account from Boursdirect.
Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) provide a good diversification and lower the risks. Perfect choice for people who have regular jobs like myself and can’t track the market everyday.
A French tax resident doesn’t have access to the top NASDAQ100 ETF like QQQ, etc.
But there are few alternatives such as investing in ETFs via a tax-friendly PEA account.
These are synthetic ETFs, which replicate the NASDAQ100 Index indirectly.
A few suggestions to open your PEA account:
- French Banks such as,
- Boursorama
- BNP Paribas or Hello Bank
- Credit Agricole
- Societe Générale, etc.
- Brokers such as,

If we open a PEA account, do we need to declare it in Tax filings? If yes then in which section? Maybe you already have a post on this topic, but I am not able to find it.

You don’t have to declare the opening of a PEA account. However, you should do a declaration, when you withdraw funds from the account.
