Since 7th December 2023, Revolut France has started providing the relevé d’identité bancaire (RIB) with IBAN to its customers in France.
- RIB is a french banking document that contains the identity of the bank account holder, name of the bank, account number, address of the holder, SWIFT (or BIC) code and address of the bank.
- Earlier in 2022, Revolut France started issuing French IBAN to its new and existing customers.
- The introdcution of the RIB will now ensure seamless utilisation of Revolut bank accounts for all banking transactions in France.

Why is it important to have a bank account providing a RIB with French IBAN?
- The RIB with an IBAN starting with FR will be accepted by all the French government services and organizations.
- You can pay for all of your subscriptions including streaming services, gym memberships, etc in France.
- You can set up direct debits and other recurring bank transfers including monthly utility bill payments for gas, electricity, etc.
- You can receive your salary, social benefits, etc via direct transfers to your Revolut bank account.
- Finally, you do not have to worry about any french service rejecting your Revolut bank account for any payments.
3 Simple Steps to download your RIB from Revolut Mobile Application
- Step 1 : Tap on “Details” on your Home screen
- Step 2 : Scroll down to “Documents”
- Step 3 : Select “Relevé d’Identité Bancaire” and Tap the top-right button to share it.
