Aide personnalisée au logement (APL) is a personalized housing assistance that the French government gives to low-income households, students, the unemployed, etc. It is managed by the local CAF offices across France.
Did you know? You can use an online simulator to estimate your eligibility for housing assistance (APL) from the CAF website.
For a complete guide about APL, please refer to APL: Housing Rent Subsidy from CAF.
Age limit for receiving APL
- If you are the actual tenant, there are no age limits applicable.
- If you are the sub-tenant (sous-location) renting an apartment spatially or completely, you should be under 30 years old. The owner of the apartment must be informed.
- A minor can receive the APL, but the rental agreement must be signed by the parents.
