Starting 1st February 2025, highway toll (péage) rates in France for passenger vehicles will increase by an average of 0.9%. This is the lowest rise since 2021 and remains below the inflation rate (1.1%) for the reference period (October 2023 – October 2024).

Did you know? If you have a Télépéage badge and frequently travel on highways, subscription plans offer discounts of up to 40% for at least 20 identical trips per month.

Changes from February 2025

The French Ministry of Transport announced in December 2024 that the 2025 toll hikes in France would be significantly lower and below inflation. Official decrees published in the Journal Officiel on 29th January 2025, confirm an average increase of approximately 0.92%, effective 1st February 2025, across major highway (autoroutes) networks in France.

This moderate rise in 2025 follows the annual contract review between the French ovt and highway concessionaires. However, toll price changes vary by region and company, as each operator applies its own rate adjustments.

The new toll rates for different highways have been made public, and they can be accessed on the official websites of highway companies. The increases specifically apply to light vehicles (Category A1).
