1. BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir (under construction)

The foundation stone-laying ceremony of a new BAPS Hindu mandir happened over the weekend of 3-4 September 2022, in Bussy-Saint-Georges, an eastern suburb of Paris. It will be Europe’s first traditional purpose-built Hindu temple.

According to the BAPS Facebook page, The BAPS Paris Mandir will be built across three levels,

  • The ground and first floors will house a cultural complex for family activities.
  • The second floor will be dedicated to the mandir, a sacred sanctuary where the murtis (sacred images) will be enshrined.

2. Ganesh Temple – Sri Manicka Vinayakar Alayam

A temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha, with the presence of other deities around him. All the statues were made in Mamalapuram and Mahapalipuram (Tamilnadu, India) and were brought to Paris. They are made of natural black granite and hand engraved by craftsmen specialized in the creation of Temples, according to the traditional Vedic Indian tradition.

Every year in August, the temple celebrates the Festival of the Lord Ganesh “Ganesh Chaturthi” with a big chariot going around the streets in Paris.

3. Sri Ashtalakshmi Varatharaja Perumal Temple

A temple dedicated to Ashta Lakshmi “Goddess of Prosperity and Wealth” and Lord Vishnu. It is located in the southern suburbs of Paris, France.

4. Sri Ayyappan Temple

The Swami  Ayyappan Temple was inaugurated on 13th November 2000 in La Plaine Saint-Denis. Later, the temple was relocated to its current location in 2008, after doing the important ceremonies of Bala Stapanam Kumbhabishekam and Maha Kumbhabishekam.

The murthis installed in the temple are Sri Selva Vinayagar (Lord Ganesha), Sri Ayyappa Swami (Moolavar / Main Deity), Sri Lakshmi Narayanan, Sri Koulathapuzhai Balakan, Sri Poorna Puskala sameta Dharmashasta, Sri Aryankavu Ayya and Sri Baktha Anjaneyar (Lord Hanuman).

5. Sri Sri Radha Paris-isvara Temple (ISKCON Paris)

The temple of Sri Sri Radha Paris-isvara was inaugurated by Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, in Fontenay-aux-Roses, in 1973.
